Good morning, afternoon, or evening! I’m your host, Wanda Thibodeaux, and as always, you’re listening to Faithful on the Clock, the podcast all about getting your faith and work aligned. Today’s episode is another bonus episode--bonus episode 3--and I’m going to take just a minute or two to let you know how you can help with the show. 3, 2, 1, here we go.

00:32

Today’s episode is just letting you know how you can support Faithful on the Clock. I’ve got a couple of great suggestions for you, and the first is, as you hear at the end of every single episode thanks to my wonderful, baritone husband, go to patreon.com/FaithfulOnTheClock. And the way Patreon works is, creators put up tiers that offer different goodies. When you sign up as a member, you get access to those goodies, and you can choose which tier price makes the most sense for your budget. That financial support is going to allow me to take the time to produce the podcast and all the extras like the newsletter, any software or equipment I might need, the podcast host and email list services, the ability to market the show in a way that I wouldn’t be able to do for free. And you know, producing a podcast, it all takes real time, whether it’s finding the scripture verses, doing the editing. So when you become a member, I can lean on you and take that time and not worry about everyday expenses so much. And ideally, what I’d love to do is create a community where we even can support some great charities, too. I can’t do that alone, but with you, if we work together, then it’s totally possible. So head over to patreon.com/FaithfulOnTheClock and sign up as a member under the tier that fits you the best.

Secondly, even though I think you do need some paid marketing, there’s probably no better marketing tactic than word of mouth, that kind of, grassroots type of marketing. And that’s because people, they’re going to trust people they know. If they just see an ad or get an email they might say, well, maaaaaybe I’ll check it out, but you know, Thibodeaux, who’s that? Why should I listen to her? But if YOU recommend the show, then, well, they do know YOU, and they’re more likely to trust what you have to say because of it. So whether you just drop the name of the podcast at the water cooler, you mention it in a blog or you share a link on social, share, share, share. Every mention helps, and when you talk about the podcast, it’s your chance to maybe introduce a larger discussion of God and really introduce someone to Jesus, too.

03:12

The third thing you can do to help is, go ahead, take a few minutes whenever you’ve got time, and leave a review for the show. People do decide what to buy or listen to based on what other people say, because again, other customers often feel a whole lot more trustworthy than a person they think just wants to sell them something. So if you can give Faithful on the Clock however many stars you think it deserves, or if you can just write, you know, even one line that lets them know what you thought, I’d really appreciate it.

03:46

Lastly, I really am envisioning this podcast--yes, it’s a solo podcast. I’m not really doing interviews or anything like that. But I do want to use this podcast to create a real community. I want you as listeners to be involved and shape the show until we find that sweet spot where every episode is something you can’t wait to download. So you can help just by getting in touch. If you love or hate a particular episode, let me know. If you’ve got a concept or a good resource, I want to hear it. Especially now when the podcast is new and still getting off the ground, I need you to be my co-producers and give me feedback, ask those questions you might have, or just send me a note to say good luck. I love those kinds of messages, too, the more the better.

04:42

In the future, I might have some other ways for you to support the show, like merchandise, some swag you can get and whatnot. But for now, those things I just listed are a good start. #1, become a supporting member at Patreon.com/FaithfulOnTheClock. #2, share links and tell people about the podcast. #3, write a review. And #4, get in touch with me whenever it’s convenient. If you do all of those things, or even if you pick just one of them, then I think we can grow really quickly and do some amazing things.

05:24

But it’s that time--I’ve gotta close it all up with a prayer.

God, today I just pray that you help my listeners to understand that this--to me, it is honestly not about creating a show. You know, I’m not...I’m not trying to sell anybody anything. My goal is just to build a truly unique ministry that can do some genuine good, that we can all be part of together. And I want them to understand that there are ways to be part of this--you know, all kinds of things that they can contribute or offer that I didn’t say a word about today. It doesn’t have to cost anything, whatever you call them to do, that’s what I want them to do. So just help them see how they can participate just the way they are, whatever that might happen to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

06:25

That is everything, guys. I’m gonna head out, get back to that grind we all know. If you haven’t done it already, go ahead and subscribe to the show to make sure you don’t miss the next episode.
